Year One: Deezy Style
I think its more than safe to say that "year one" of my college experience has been anything but ordinary. Not exactly the typical dorm room experience. 1 semester in the dorms with a scumbag for a roomate, 1 semester in a fraternity house and 2 weeks on this black leather fold out couch in what pretty much became my second home. Living in the fraternity house was a great experience (even though it drove me nuts), up until I returned from spring break to find out that we were all robbed, but the majority of things stolen just happened to come from my room. Sneakers, hats, hoodies, and my f***ing plasma TV. GONE. I thought I'd run out of bad luck but I guess destiny decided to lead me further down this road. Bulls tickets never came, my money never came back, and of course I was the one to spot my friends the money for all 4. Thats enough right? Things couldn't possibly get any worse. Well about a week or so later I decided to go play basketball in the gym. I left the gym that day barely able to walk, only to find out I tore my ACL and meniscus. Surgery ensued. Sitting on a couch for 3 weeks and not able to walk or drive or pretty much do anything except watched movies. Okay now it really can't get any worse....but it does. more information on that later. But now I'm sitting in an office, finally out of my house at my new internship at the YES Network. I'm not 19 yet but lets just say I can't wait till my birthday and hopefully never ever experience "year one" again.
